  • How to turn the tassel
  1. The tassel turning and awarding ceremony will be conducted simultaneously on and off the stage. The tassel-turning representatives will proceed to the stage in sequence to receive their graduation certificates from the university president. Other graduates should stand up at their seats and receive their tassels from their respective department heads, dean of the college, or advisors, the dean of academic affairs (two representatives for the valedictorian), the dean of student affairs (three representatives for extracurricular activities, morality, and sports awards), and dean of international affairs (three representatives for foreign students, overseas Chinese students, and Mainland China students), respectively.
  2. The representatives for turning the tassel do not need to salute when they ascend to the stage. After turning the tassel and taking a photo with the president, the first representative will give the command "bow", and then wait for the president to bow. After the president bows, the first representative will give the command "finished bowing" and then turn right and leave the stage to return to their seat.
